I was in Albertson’s yesterday and chuckled to see all the young men panic buying flowers. Luckily for them they had some pretty nice bouquets. It isn’t that older guys plan better, but we have had years of managing expectations.
My wife and I had dinner out last night (restaurants are always too crowded on the 14th), and tomorrow we’re planning to treat ourselves to some half-price candy. Today was Card Exchange Day. Still going strong after 38 years, so I guess we’re doing something right.

While it may not be a particularly romantic gift, it looks like it was a good choice.

My guy and I —59 years married—-don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day. Our romantic holiday is Groundhog Day. Long story—-goes back 63 years.

It was nice of her to gaze into his eyes when she gave him the card. She is so “BETTY” .

There is absolutely no way that he went shopping and wasn’t reminded that Valentine’s Day is near.

Much better than some sappy throw-away card.
