Peter Sr. and Petey, both have serious problems; Rock & Rollin’ Peter almost got flattened by a Kenworth followed by his celebrated salute to cellular technology (to which, I hope, Alice was not privy), and Master Petey is never going to be able to isolate that phantom, no-name bean into its own unidentifiable pile.

At this point, bring in Mr. Bean for more comic relief.

Petey will make a great accountant, or bean counter.

No cell phone while driving Daddy-O!

Of all the frustrations, the cell phone seems to be the one thing working for him.

What an absolutely inspired cartoon!

I notice Mom has a glass of wine at this point in her day.

Five? Did I say five? I meant four. Four bean salad.

Dad should be grumbling about the traffic not the cellphone.

Looks like Mr. Otterloop won’t be able to get away from gaseous vehicles now or tonight.

Five bean salad? BARF!!!

Poor daddy; from one noisy toot-fest to another.

If I had to drive to and from work in that traffic I would be driving a Sherman Tank.

Poor Mr. Otterloop, stuck in the billions and billions of cars in the Outer Loop, and his four-year-old self-focussed daughter answers his Very Important Phonecall. Mom may never know what Alice never told her. And Petey is “at fours and fives” with the mixed-up salad! Gad!

Looks like that salad comes with a dead hamster, at least on the mum’s plate.

His first mistake was not asking to talk to Mommy rather than asking where she was.
