That’s not Kenny. Do we have a new dog in the kennel.

Not like that Irish dog, only chasing parked cars,,,,,, now going to remove all my address details!

EVs are not emission free. Their power comes from somewhere. There are no more places for hydroelectric dams without significant impact to fish life. Oil is out, coal is out. LP gas is out. Solar is not reliable year round or able to generate the power needed (plus there is the impact to the environment due to shading and temperature changes of the ground).

So we build more nuclear to build the growing electric demand with more and more EVs and electric stoves used as we eliminate fossil fuel vehicles and gas stoves? Calif is again telling people to cut back on charging their vehicles.

Our infrastructure cannot support the demands of a all EV society. Someday it will but not quick enough to meet the demands of politicians.

Question: How will be handle the impact of all those lithium ion batteries when they won’t charge anymore? How can we live with the social impact of the mining of lithium ion materials?

Already we see cars that the cost of the battery exceeds the value of the car. Pickup trucks with extremely limited towing range as seen by tests. And there is always the impact of extreme cold. Recent article told how when the las Polar Vortex hit, people up north saw EV range drop precipitously.

That’s ok, wave you hands in the air and keep saying, “It will all work out … Someday.”
