    I got an opportunity to “field test” a new hearing aid design, only $1200 to cover their expenses. My amp cost $150.

    Once had a telemarketer get through his spiel, to which I replied I wasn’t interested. He said, “I hear what you’re saying, but…” and kept going.

    I said, “If you hear what I’m saying, why are you still talking?”.

    He started in again with, “I hear what you’re saying…”, and I hung up on him.

    I had to learn how to say this, at 60. No is not an invitation for anything, opinions, evaluations or explanations. No… just no. No to the crazymaking pushy people who have to have the last word, who have to have their way, who have to be ‘right’- regardless of the facts.. just to get a reaction. Some are really just looking for a trigger that they can use against you.
