One factoid I’ve always liked: When a satellite (or space station) observes from a distance Earth eclipsing the sun there is a ring of light around the edge of the globe; the sun illuminating the atmosphere of Earth. At that moment you are observing every sunrise and sunset taking place on Earth.

Do I have to give back all those birthday presents?

“…I was so much older then, I’m younger than that now.” That showed up some years ago, but I’d forgotten all about it. Does anyone know the source for that saying? I’m thinking, ’twas part of a song.
