I’m lucky that my current cats leave the furniture alone.

Toahie only destroyed one couch, the replacement she never touched. Must have had an odd smell that we couldn’t detect.

Old kitty wisdom: You can’t write “couch” without an “ouch”

I have a couch that looks worse than that. I keep it covered with a blanket.

It’s no use, Annie. A kitty will find some way to damage it.

My client won’t be coming home. He’s going into a hospice house.

My two (and Yum Yum) have attached the back and underside of the couch. They also like the arm on the side where I sit, and one leg of the coffee table.

Thank goodness only the cat scratching post looks like that!!!

None of our cats have ever destroyed furniture. I don’t know why they haven’t. They DO like the very short pile area rugs, though. But, the rugs aren’t damaged in any way.

“No? How about Kevlar?”

Shout out to Walmart! I don’t remember seeing couches at Walmart.

My kitties scratched through the fabric on the bottom of the couch and then climbed in and used it like a hammock. At least Darcy did. Simon hung all the way to the floor…

I got part 1 of the Shingrix vaccine at noon today. Glad that is out of the way. It cost me $0.00. Good thing I waited ’til 2023 or it would have cost $184.00.

No good, Annie. The kitties would just find a way to make it rusty. They should make furniture out of the same stuff they make scratching posts out of. Cats would be sure to leave them alone. On another note, saw a squirrel, six juncos, and a spotted towhee while out walking today.

We’re using patio furniture as our couch. The cushions are easy to wash, and we bought scrap carpet to fit between the cushion and the steel back that they can scratch.
