Is Dill’s entire family dedicated to making the world a stickier place?

No wonder…the marshmallows are on the wrong end.

Once again, it’s not what you fling its the fling itself

Apparently, the marshmallows were not lucky charms for the trebuchet.

The trebuchet picture shown here is rather simple looking compared to what a real one looked like in the Middle Ages.

They should have made s’mores——instead of a trebuchet.

This is the first time, in my memory, we’ve seen any of Dill’s legendary brothers.

The Wedekid brothers better take a couple of physics classes and maybe a refresher course in woodshop.

At last we see the trebuchet….

I thought that Dill said that he was going on the trebuchet.

Poor Dill…even his ball is flat.

Anybody got an air pump?

Looks like it’s designed to lift the marshmallows four feet off the ground. Perfect height for snacking.

One year I got to help fire the trebuchet at the Sottish games. Firing bowling balls into a lake was a blast, tho they looked at me oddly when I pointed out that a few degrees to the right and we could hit the cars on the approach road.

Bupf. Perfect sound.

Just in time for the Equinox, a trebuchet for a spring fling. Though in Dill’s brothers defense, lighting the marshmallows on fire might have been pretty spectacular.

Ah – a new twist on the “let them eat cake” theme: “Let them eat marshmallows!”

Not enough weight in their choice of missile.

Wait! Did we just see one of Dill’s brothers?!?

Whew! That was a close one. He was nearly hoisted by his own petard!

Maybe best to just light it on fire and make S’more’s.

I saw one of Dill’s big brothers (panel 2)! But this catastrophe is a terrible blow to the prestige of The Brothers Wedekind.

BUT, I also think that Alice grossly overrates marshmallows as “good food”….
