It looks like Alice is channeling the Lost World book and movies.

Alice is like pre-Copernican astronomy. She always makes herself the center of her preschool universe.

Are they playing with her dad’s car?

wait – wouldn’t the alligators be all burnt up?

As she drives off over the pit of lava and alligators.

One of the reasons I keep coming back to these comics is Richard Thompson’s insight into how kids think.

Alligators and lava don’t exist on earth?

Must be tough alligators living in lava. Presumably molten lava, of course.

Ah what Bliss we’re Hav(e)in’ today.

And yet – the car survived. I gotta get me one of those for the coming apocalypse!

Sometimes, Alice can be an even bigger pain in the pa-toot.

At first, I though she was talking to her dad.

Only slightly smaller than Mister Otterloop’s real car.

The alligators would perish in the lava, so Dill would only have one problem.

Such intimidation by Alice is not an attractive trait. I feel sorry for Dill….

Run her over and tell her to go play in the nurses office.
