The bumble bee doesn’t know that, so it goes ahead and flies anyway !

It was only impossible to understand the aerodynamics of how bumblebees are able to fly, until they spotted the wire.

Bumblebees couldn’t fly if they had little propellers. The wings are wrong.

Scientists: “According to our understanding of aerodynamics, it is impossible for bees to fly.”

Laymen: “Ha ha, scientists think bees can’t fly! They’re so dumb!"

So unstrange.

Real nice. It’s February. Where am I going to find a bee to check this out ?

I believe this “science stumper” was resolved late in the twentieth century with better turbulence mathematics. Old memes die hard.
