At least we know when to not start: Every Monday!

You do it best, when you do nothing at all.

Done!

Come back weekend, I wasn’t finished with you yet!

So much to do, so little desire to do it.

You’re busy doing nothing.

Working the whole day through.

Trying to find lots of things not to do.

You’re busy going nowhere isn’t it such a crime.

You’d like to be unhappy but you never can find the time!

That was my day, HOT and humid…here comes summer

Don’t start right where you are. Otherwise you will have to get up to move somewhere else and not start there.

Here are several ideas for Garfield story arcs:

Garfield actually succeeds in mailing Nermal to Abu Dhabi, and he is forced to accompany Jon on an adventure-laden trip there to bring Nermal back.

It is revealed that Jon’s brother Doc Boy has never had a girlfriend or been on a date. Liz tries to mentor Doc on how to behave around a woman – and becomes exasperated out of her mind with Doc Boy’s cloddishness and utter lack of social graces.

Garfield and Jon set out on a quest to find Lyman.

Jon substitutes for Binky the Clown for a day – and finds that he is well out of his comfort zone.

But hey, why have story arcs and ideas when we can just draw Garfield eating or sleeping every day! What an abominable waste of a great character. It’s like having a rocket which can go to the Moon and only using it to go to the shop at the end of your road instead.

Garfield will never change.

Sit up, open your eyes. You’ll find plenty to do!

Considering it’s Monday may I suggest not getting up unless food is involved?

That’s what happens when you ponder on a Monday!

What happens when Garfield decides to watch TV? Garfield would be doing something.

Well, don’t start at all. Starting implies you’re doing something.

When there’s a lot of the same jokes, it’s hard to think of comments.

Well, just keep doing what you’re not doing, Garfield. It seems to be working.

I’m all knotted up…

Unfortunately I’ve got lots to do today. Tis Spring and the yard work is calling. Well no, it’s screaming at me.

I’m trying to work up to moving. Not-moving is taking up all my time. I need to get it done so I can go back to not-writing and not-painting. :)

Every now and then I go to bed thinking about all the stuff I have to do the next day, wake up in the morning and I’m just like, “Nah.”
