Jon’s still got a pet that won’t run away, he’s called Garfield.

He’s just too lazy to run away.

There’s actually a college team with a banana slug mascot:. The University of California, Santa Cruz.

That’s an impressively left-field animal reference to be fair

So Jon got slugged?

According to William Least-Heat Moon, they can run away and hide.

Ain’t slugs a bit dangerous and people shouldn’t have them as pets? I heard that some of them are harmless but others not so much.

That’s sad. As a child, Jon couldn’t find an ordinary pet that’d show some loyalty and stay with him. Now, he has Garfield, who won’t go away.

Why not? Sponge Bob has Gary the snail!

“Gregg” Berger did the voice of Odie in all the Garfield shows and specials, haha!

Gregg, as in Gregg Berger, the voice of Odie and many other characters?

I liked the one on the X-Files. Well, actually it was an invasive alien parasite that Doggett had to cut out of Scully before it ate her brain. Looked like a banana slug, though.

I really, really, really, hate slugs
