Two things that I can’t help thinking with this arc: One, I LOVE how Jim is always teaching us in this strip. I inevitably look up every new creature he introduces… super fun! Two, the striped pajama name sadly reminds me of the movie, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. So, I love the cuteness, and then I am saddened by the memory of that movie.

I have now googled and watched videos on both the PJ Squid (actually a cuttlefish) and the Dumbo Octopus. Thanks, Jim!

If Binky is Australian, doesn’t that mean his cuteness is hiding vicious fangs, or deadly venom?

I found images of the PJ squid – It is cute in a baby-Cthulhu sort of way!
