Plastic is for online purchases, most other transactions are cash . Plus I Always ask for a receipt that way when I do the end of the month quick review I can see if I went over budget. Cash has the built in braking system of when the cash is gone no more spending ;-)
I always have cash for tipping. It would be nice if the Girl Scouts who are selling cookies in front of the grocery stores would help their customers to their cars then bring back the grocery carts. It’s really their moms selling the cookies.
I rarely have more than a few dollars in cash in my wallet. All of my credit cards give me rebates, bonus, rewards, etc. Cash can’t do that! And before someone comments about fees, interest, etc, I do not have any balances on any of my cards (paid off evey month) and don’t pay fees for any of my cards!
