Remember the day the wrestling coach decided to have a word with the professor about passing one of the team members. Wink, wink!! Came right into class so the prof couldn’t duck him.
Sports is more important than academia it would seem. Very sad state of affairs. And it isn’t about sportsmanship or skill or even fun it’s all about the money.
Better hope they never have to change out while your students are present. Or they will get a lesson on adult male anatomy the parents may not appreciate.
From what I’ve observed over the years, high school is worse than college; scholarships are won/lost in high school. My nephew tried out & was selected to be in the elite of the elite Colorado soccer league; did it for 3 years. Finally, as a junior in HS, in order to have a life, he opted to play only for the school; his grades are improving & he’s much happier.
Attended the biggest football high school in southern California (still is). Other activities took place at that school, but you would never know it from the newspapers or TV coverage.

They can “keep up” and Ms. Wingit will get a crick in her neck from “looking up”.

The coach does not have the authority to allow them to be there, even if he wanted to. It is not his property.

Too bad just a comic strip, wonder how many football players need more on education? I never went to any game nor will I, so I do not know.
