I disagree with people saying that arcs get dragged on through the week. While it seems like the arc is long and has too many filler days, when you the arcs all at once instead of one part per day, you won’t feel like it gets dragged on.
It’s Argo, not Argon. And yes, it really did star Ben Affleck. This is also the second Big Nate comic to mention both Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, here’s the FIRST one: https://www.gocomics.com/bignate/2016/08/13
Went to night classes at Community College to get degree in programming. I was partnered up with someone for a project and I tried to help them, but they dropped out and there I am with my half of the project. Luckily the instructor accepted my half and I got a good grade.
Ugh……reminds me of the time the class had to report on (sub) planet Pluto…..Mr. Galvin told Nate: “PLEASE say you did NOT write your report on the Disney character.” Fret not! Turns out that Nate wrote a paper about Popeye’s nemesis “Bluto”………
Since having Nate as a lab partner, Daphne has been talking a lot and has no problem saying what she thinks. It seems that being with Nate is good for her, probably before it was Gina who didn’t let her talk.
Nate’s insane answers will never not be funny. My favourite is still when he identified Calvin Coolidge as a backup point guard for the Denver Nuggets.
You have to keep it in context. Who was Galileo? “He’s just a poor boy, from a poor family. Spare him his life from this monstrosity!” – Freddie Mercury, Queen
Usually when Pierce uses a pop culture reference it falls dead flat (see the tik tok arc from a year ago, or the Taylor Swift joke from, I want to say, February?). Point is, he usually fails on these, and who even talks about Argo anymore, but I can’t help but find Nate’s reaction at the end funny, plus Daphne actually being cordial instead of the usual ‘go away Nate’ reaction everyone else has is refreshing.
A solid 7/10 again, though the fact this and last week were the best arcs in ages says a lot XD. It’s okay but nothing incredible.

In his joint project with Susie about the planet Mercury, Calvin said it was named after the Roman deity who’s the FTD Florists registered trademark.

The best throw down by Daphne would’ve been if she had corrected his spelling, that movie was ARGO as in ARGOf**kYourself.

This generation (including me idk) would not understand this and I have no idea who the heck Ben Affleck is.

I don’t even know what that movie is, or who Ben Affleck is. I’ve heard of him.
Strip rating: 4/10 The joke wasn’t very funny, because I didn’t understand what they were referring to here.

It’s Argo, Pinhead. How come you don’t know that even though you basically know everything except Social Studies.

I don’t get it again. A movie starring Ben Affleck? I just can’t read it. A+.
