Considering the spirit and intent of Earth Day, probably not the most apropos strip to publish, in light of its apparent attempt to put down the day. Or was there another, more subtle intended meaning that I must have missed?
I remember the first Earth Day. I was in ninth grade and our science class walked down the street to a local grocery store and picked up trash around thier parking lot.
Hmm.. seems just like any other day, sun came up, a few clouds in the sky. Haven’t heard but probably a few mass shootings in the states. Just a normal day so far as I can see.

is it that day when we initiate a new war to keep peace?

Earth Day was initiated in 1970.
Since then, the name should be changed to “Scorched Earth Day”.

My excitement is well-contained too. I appreciate my surroundings EVERY day.

I like Agnes’s look of sharp disapproval in P3.
