A true story. When I was doing volunteer driving about a decade ago, I picked up a rider at a cancer clinic, she hadn’t any more then got out the door when she lite a cigarette. Don’t believe she’s still with us.
I read in Dear Abby (or maybe it was ask Ann Landers?), who was anti-smoking. A reader complained that she probably wouldn’t give a dying man a cigarette. Her answer was “No, I would, he’s already done all the damage he can.” May have lost a bit in the telling.
I had an after school job of filling cigarette machines. (.75 – $1.00 per pack) I drove around with 2 cases of cigs. I decided it would not be wise to start smoking.

Only if you eat it.
Cheech and Chong were an acquired taste but their anti-cigarette “ad” was dead on.
“Since I lost one lung, I’ve cut my smoking in half.”

Is this the storyline where Oscar runs off with Dean’s lungs? Seen that story twice before.

And on a side note Frank, How am I able to breathe (and be alive) without lungs and air?
