This storyline was kind of a dumb idea. Greater fire hazards exist than burning a scent candle, which is not in and of itself hazardous or a selfish act. If the author wanted to make a truly worthwhile statement, he could have done a storyline on faulty wiring, old appliances or fireplaces in disrepair. The scented candle storyline is ridiculous.
