I’m in that minority because my family is scattered all over the place. Only the two locals come over.
I only feel one day older after a birthday, same as any other day.
I have no family to come over. So for me, it’s the recognition of another year shot to h**l.
why spoil a fun occasion by inviting family…?
My family never celebrated my Birthday (we were always camping at that time), so now I pick a day when there is something fun I want to do and call it my Birthday. And I don’t tell the family.
I’m lucky enough to not “feel” many of the additional years that my birthdays tell me have passed.
