No Vintage 1965 BABBY doll listed on eBay. You say it’s a Barbie knock-off, so that B.C. could not be sued? So could you sue Taylor Swift for her Dolls, they are clearly Barbie knock-offs.
I remember the outrageous prices of Barbie doll clothes back in the 60s and I doubt they’ve gotten any cheaper since. Such tiny things cost as much as clothes that would fit me.
“Babby” or “Me bab”: English Midlands, specifically the Black Country (because of Industrialisation – smoke) for Baby, but also as a sign of affection or common courtesty – " ’ow am yer , bab?"

My grandmother used to make clothes for our dolls. There were pattern books for them.

I’m searching to see if BABBY doll was a line of toys or if babby is slang for baby.
