The actual quote was “Do you want to eat my tongue”. It’s the Tibetan way of saying to a child “you’re demanding too much”.

Biden gets away with it. So why is it an issue now?

I almost puked reading that story but projectal vomited when the priests abused the kids….

I knew two twin girls who the priest was favoring….this was in the early 50’s. They boasted to the kids on the playground of their encounters… sick bas-tards!

Some cannot see beyond their local culture [e.g. even local weather is equated to climate], and attempt to apply their exclusive, restrictive, limited-scope rules to other cultures based on very different philosophies. The demographics of the world’s population are shifting, with those that cannot adapt risking their loss of status … and, perhaps, extinction as influencers of public policy.

What the bible belt westerners heard was not what the Dali Lama actually conveyed in the conversation.

I’m still glad the Tibetan idiomatic expression only involves the tongue. As for catholic priests, I’ve kept my kids as far away from them as possible.
