It’s amazing, and I think a shame and a pity, what Americans throw out. Just drive around on garbage days (or the day/evening before) and see all the things that have been set out on the curb. Yeah, they may be old, need some serious cleaning, or some patching up, and there are people who go around and salvage stuff like that, but I hate to think of how much stuff like that is going into landfills.
