Yeah, that’s one of those odors that never really goes away. Like cigarette smoke. My dad once left a gallon of milk in the trunk of the car that we didn’t discover until it spoiled. And as it separated, it leaked a little. The stench eventually went away for the most part but when it got really hot out, you could sort of smell it again.

That’s one reason we went to laminate flooring. My suggestion was for concrete with a drain. Then we could just hose it down.
