As time goes on this is my greatest fear.

In the 60s, I wore a T-shirt that demanded:

RAKE MUCK

Maybe it’s time to wear it again. . .

I grew up in a fairly large city that was next to a giant city. The fairly large city was unbelievably corrupt because ALL the news reporting was on the giant city.

What happens when the press doesn’t cover, but covers up?

Should unbiased, un-opinionated, thoroughly-vetted, researched, objective news be available as a fact-checking, tax-payer funded, public service to end the political propagandizing?

Local news around my town is cluttered with national news stories, and very little local political stuff is ever mentioned.

And while everyone’s celebrating, here’s what can happen in the background:

BTW, Dixon IL is considered to be Ronald Reagan’s home town.

Since all of the local news sites are firewalled, it doesn’t matter if they exist.

Actually all politicians, local or not, are uncovered way too often. What’s that? Oh, NEWS, you meant ‘news’ coverage. My mistake.

While I would LOVE to be relieved of the political sewage outpout, I also believe in the necessity to “keep your friends close and your enemies closer.”
