Snoopy did know Charlie Brown’s name in the early strips, most notably the ones when Sally was still a baby. I guess he just sort of forgot overtime.

At least we can assume he’s ok, since he sent you mail

How about “Dear Kid Who’s Always Losing at Baseball…”

Has Snoopy ever used Charlie’s real name? I suspect Snoop uses the moniker of “round headed kid” as a designation to put Charles in his place. Charles is the provider of food and, from time to time, shelter. Other than that, Charles is of little use. Using this moniker is the height of Snoop’s superiority over those…. humans.

From the beginning of the strip, Snoopy indeed remembered CB’s name.. I believe around the late 60s – early 70s, he started going by the aforementioned round headed kid..Ironically, Snoopy was not the first to call him that, if I recall, it was Linus..

Oh round-headed kid, what’s in a name? That which we call a roseBy any other name would smell as sweet…

I remember one strip where Snoopy was filling out a form, and when he came to “Owner’s Name” he drew a blank. After CB loudly prompted “CHARLIE BROWN!” Snoopy’s last thought balloon was “How embarrassing…”

At least he remembered your head is round.

It’s ok, he’s the one referred to as that funny looking kid with the big nose.

ever wonder what your dog or cat named you?

I think the writer of this comic strip uses “Round-Headed Kid” to make the comic strip funnier. It adds life and a good sense of humor is needed.

So drop him off at the shelter and get a new dog. What’s the problem?

Maybe Chuck, if you did normal doggy/owner stuff with him.Play some Frisbee,tug of war. brush him, give him a biscuit….

Have heart Charlie. Roundhead sounds more personal and hence the canine is using it.

What the heck. At least he can give the police an accurate description of you, Chuck!

The only name Snoopy can remember is Lucy, who he loves to smooch.

Lucy got a letter that began “Dear Enormous Mouth Girl”….
