As an independent contractor, I happened in on a job once, and the plumber was bent over working under the kitchen sink, with the biggest exposed crack I’ve ever had the misfortune of seeing. That was almost 40 years ago, and I can see it in my mind like it was yesterday. (Of course I can’t remember what happened 5 minutes ago, but I remember that…sheesh!)
