He looks like his dad.

And now the son becomes the father.

Ew, is that how it happens?

His “khakis” are blue.

The day he gets old enough to look the part he will regret it.

Khakis, fashionwise, are a style of pants, not necessarily a color. Think about Dockers - they come in many colors.

It is a very sad day when you look in the mirror and see your mother (or father if you’re a man). Yesterday I was talking and I swear I sounded just like my mom and that’s NOT a good thing!

He’s so old. If I didn’t know it was Irving, I wouldn’t have recognized him. Sheesh.

My dad and I used to have the same hairstyle, so I quit cutting mine and it’s shoulder length now. Now I don’t look quite so much like him, although younger women comment on how handsome he is at age 77, so maybe I should go back to his look.

He looks so OLD! LOL!! He looks just like Cathy’s accountant.

I knew he looked like someone! You’re right! The accountant!

The word is chinos, not khakis.

So when does Cathy cut her hair, put on glasses, and become her mother?

Irving really means Khakis. The person who colors the strips here, just paints them any color. In this case, the pants are blue, a mistake, because I doubt if they read what the comic says. If they read it, the pants would be….khakis color.

In my neck of the woods, we call most tan pants, Khakis. It could be because of the color (always a tan) or the style (usually with small pleats in the front). Chinos is never used here.
