I went to the mall with SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED yesterday. I think they out to put sports stores in the mall for men. No, I think they ought to put in hardware stores. While we’re at it, how ‘bouts a bar. Matter of fact a strip bar. That would get the women out of the stores fast.

This male jeans story line has gone on for how long? Must be some sort of record.

No, @dlws8607, I don’t like what you said. Reminds me of a song in Alice and Wonderland - “he only does it to annoy, because he knows it teases!” I think you want to start an argument. Not a discussion.

I have been enjoying this series on Irving looking for clothes. After so many repeated themes over the years in this strip, I find originality in this subject. I too hate clothes-shopping. And there’s been lots of useful information here, even tho it’s packaged as a joke. Things I didn’t think of, because I was too exhausted and mad to think.

Of course, Irving obviously does not get what Cathy means when she talks about wanting/having to improve what had originally looked perfect! Apparently men do not feel this need, which is just as well.

Anything I find that “fits perfectly” turns into baby clothes after the first washing!

True, women don’t know how men think, but here’s a hint: if it fits we buy it, and go home, lol. To us, shopping is not a competition, unless we are car shopping or tool shopping. Then it’s life or death to outdo the salesperson.
