I don’t go in for those fad diets, so I may be wrong here, but isn’t the low-carb thing based on lean protein? Eggs fried in butter doesn’t seen to fit there. She should have an egg white omlet, or a boiled egg. I love butter on bread and potatos, but I admit I prefer to cook pretty much everything in olive oil. It’s yummy! Never tried frying an egg in it though…
Dept of Agriculture started the school lunch program partly as a way for farmers to unload their surplus. So when we were kids school lunches included a lot of butter, real cheese and whole milk along with real vegetables and mystery meat.
Funny, but I don’t remember a lot of obese kids…
Of course, We were active…walked to school and had a 40 minutes of phys ed. (outside in all kinds of weather)
I’ve made scrambled eggs in a no-stick pan with Pam spray. The trouble with olive oil is I always put in too much, and food swimming in oil is not good.

I think the “rules” are made up as the “experts” go along.

I’m on the eat-less-move-around-more diet and it’s working pretty well for me.

But with Pam it’s fine!
