Carl is lonely, I think.

Lonely. He’s mr. lonely. He doesn’t have someone to call on the phone.

I’d like to know how a kid Zak’s age would be thinking what his mom thinks he’s thinking. And why she’s so quick to think he’s thinking that. And for that matter, why the comic censors apparently don’t think the average reader will be thinking what Zack’s mom thinks Zack will be thinking…?
