The funny thing is that our software company just postponed the problem. Instead of the problem date being 12/31/99, we just added 50 years so that it’s now 12/31/2049. And I know we weren’t the only ones.
My late husband and I went to Williamsburg, VA, for their annual “First Night” celebration Were fortunate enough to experience life when cultural events were the celebration ; life before there were even concerns about anything like a “Y2K”-what a perfect night, even though it was freezing it just added to the perfection.

Hopefully those who postponed the problem remember that they did so – 50 years before – when the time comes.
