Cathy always worries about finding the perfect date like she would find the perfect pair of shoes…
The problem is that Cathy isn’t anyone’s idea of a perfect partner. Well, with all those nerotic tendencies, perhaps Woody Allen if he was into older women?
The other half of the equation, WebSpider, is that Cathy herself can’t make up her mind as to what her own idea of a perfect partner is. It’s one of the things about her that always drove Irving crazy before they got married; she’d be constantly changing her mind as to what she wanted out of life, and he was expected to instantly adapt and go along with her whim of the day – not to mention having to read her mind so he could anticipate what she might decide the next day!

Isn’t Charlene married to one of Cathy’s old flames? Maybe not at this point – can’t remember when it happened.
