Oh, my yes. Ben, have you never heard of The Plant of the Year. The latest and greatest introduction? Ben, beware, the ‘with a few changes’ means, just hand over the credit card. A new shrub here, more flowers there, and of course, you must have a water feature…….
Back when I lived in Texas, the soil was so rich that I could plant 10 penny nails and three days later get crowbars! And my tomatoes were so large it only took three of them to make a dozen! LOL!
Are we no longer in the trend of native plants? I quit keeping up when I sold the house that I had put down top soil and moved to a house where the soil is not so good. But I still focus on native plants because they thrive in the current soil.

It sounds prohibitively expensive.

So grateful that we don’t have garden competitions or garden tours here. I can just enjoy my garden with all kinds of unfashionable plants in it.

Guess that means she’ll have to toss Ben, being unfashionable.
