My roommate once had a dog who got into an encounter with a porcupine on a camping trip. She got him to a vet and got all the quills. Or so they thought. Those things travel. Two weeks later I’m petting him and I feel something emerging from the side of his face. It was a quill.

That happened with one of our bogs, all dad had to do was get the pliers on the quill and she did the pulling.
