Actually this is quite comical for the time. When this cartoon was first written the internet was still fairly new to many people and most probably did (and some still do) believe that someone can so easily tell everything you’ve been doing on it.
Irving, there’s a difference between getting to know someone and conducting a full-scale invasion of privacy in order to do so. Besides, if Cathy had wanted your advice, she’d have asked you for it!
Now she needs to mess with him and search for “how to get rid of annoying ex-boyfriends”. ;-)
@ruizuno1 - My husband is a definite exception to that rule.
@jmersnga - It’s actually not so hard to tell everything that you’ve been doing on the Internet. It just takes some digging and some reasoning and some access to certain files and directories. It’s only recently that you can do “private” browsing and even that isn’t so private.
Wow!!!!! Irving’s stalking of Cathy is worse than it first appeared! He’s not just creepily reading her e-mail … he’s actually found a way to hack into her computer and is watching all of her internet website browsing too!
“Aack!!” isn’t the word for it, Cathy … “Restraining Order” is!

We have a local guy here in Michigan who is going to stand trial for hacking into his soon-to-be ex-wife’s email.
