Timely in light of the recent Supreme Court decision making Affirmative Action illegal. Just saw Mike Pence saying it was no longer necessary and supporting that somehow with how his kids got into college.
Lenny Bruceâs â50s routine, âHow to Make Colored People Feel at Home at Partiesâ is a great example if this. When I was in high school there was a controversy about building an integrated housing development in our suburban town. My folks and the people across the street were active in an ad hoc organization in support of the builder. The people across the street, white BTW, did have a cross burned on their lawn. This was 1959, 25 miles north of Chicago. You donât forget stuff like that.
99%? Rolaids? Servers ignoring Black patrons? Hee! And ironically, yesterdayâs strip was all about how Republicans care nothing for facts. Bolling is doing his darndest to make Black Americans feel hopeless and terrorized.
