    Also infamously known as "The Sultan of Tw*t, " Pud Reilly was often hailed as a mixture of Ty Cobb and Babe Ruth. Interestingly, actor William Bendix turned down an offer to portray Reilly in 1948, preferring instead to be in the ridiculously fictionalized Babe Ruth Story.

    That 1908 batting championship was totally unfair. The strike zone for Billy “No Legs” Hale was much smaller than Pud’s.
