Well,my neighbor’s stupid, annoying yappy little dog is probably saying,“I’m going to bark incessantly at you for no good reason every time you set foot in your backyard, thus destroying any hope of peace, quiet and tranquility you were planning on experiencing until you go back into your house, proving once again that my evil plan to piss you off with impunity rules!” But that’s just speculation on my part!
I remember once years ago when I felt sorry for a stray wandering around my school. I took him home for a few days trying to find his owner or a home. Called him “Little Friend” of our dog. Could’t handle two dogs so I took him to the Humane Society. The intake person said he would be put down because he had some kind of eye sty. I figured as much – since they have trouble placing healthy dogs. I just wish she hand’t said “have a good day” when I left I had to sit in my car a long time before I was able to drive home.
Not a problem when you have cats — foregone conclusion is you can’t take them anywhere. (I know there are exceptions, I had one cat I could take anywhere — but only one.)As for the Humane Society — they once put down a kitten my friend found by the side of the road, took in for treatment, and came back the next day to take home. No record of the kitten ever having come in. They do some good work and I know they are overwhelmed but really…..

Turn the puppy dog eyes on full blast gal. Then, don’t blink. (Little Muttley hates when I stare him down and win.)
