The current constant AI trends are just glorified word and image calculators stealing the work of people who actually know how to create and letting losers who complain about having to pay people to have a creative vision realised.

I hope WGA and SAG inspire the VFX industry to unionize and join in.

AI is slowly, but surely taking over the world.

The significant term in A.I. is ‘Artificial,’ but everyone is freaked out and focused on the ‘Intelligence’ aspect. If there really were anything to A.I. we wouldn’t be able to prove we’re not a robot with any of the existing Captcha schemes and our inboxes wouldn’t fill up with undetected spam.

The bar is already set so low that even earthworms can step over it.

We’ll know A.I. is really “intelligent” when it finds a way to gather political contributions and run for office.

I asked ChatGPT to create a pastiche of Charles Williams’ (the Inkling) Arthurian poetry. It came out with something reminiscent of the Brill Building in the early 60s. This isn’t Artificial Intelligence; it’s Artificial Idiocy.

I will miss the blog, I enjoyed it. Half the time I forget to read the comic here. Rarely have time to read all the way through all the good comics on GoComics.
