Controlled burns. Not planting monocultures of non-adapted species regardless of monocultures providing more economic return. Using goats to control underbrush (being done in CA). And, of course, more measures to control and decrease carbon dioxide emissions, you know, that climate change thing.

Control burns, why not get the fire department out there before the fire starts? I have been called a science denier cause I support them and clearing brush.

I’ve been researching for 2022-2023 articles about anti-controlled burns. I cannot find any so far. Perhaps Mr Goodwyn could cite his source(s) for this cartoon.

Is that really a thing? I’ve heard people object to control burns on two grounds. One is a fear that the burn may get out of control and cause a bigger fire. That happened in New Mexico last year. The other is about air quality, which is a real concern. I have never heard an argument against controlled burns based on “green” concerns. I couldn’t even imagine what those would be.

Longer, hotter and drier summers = more severe forest fires.

All the sheep bleating at once; “Vaxxers, Vaxxers, Vaxxers.” I do believe the comic was about how the so called environmentalists, represented here by a fictitious person, Earnest Lee Greendaffy, who, in his efforts to “save the planet” was killed by not understanding the effects of his actions. As usual, the sheep have nothing substantive to say to refute the comic, so they resort to Trump, Covid anti-vaxxers, ____ phobe, hater, …You people are pathetic.

Greendaffy? The Arctic is on fire and all you got is character assassination. Thanks to 40 years of malicious misinformation catastrophe is inevitable along with the extinction of countless species.
