Transcript:
Irving (from phone): Want to come over, Cathy? Cathy: No thanks, Irving. I just want to sit here like a big, happy blob, watching idiotic TV in a dumpy sweatsuit, eating carry-out and not caring about anything! Irving (from phone): Really?? Can I come over there?? Cathy: $50 billion in beauty products...And we learn that this is what appeals to them...

Well, sure, Cathy ā now youāre talking his language, just like one of the guys! eyeroll

Geez Louise, even that appeals to me. And Iām not one to sit still for longer than like 20 minutes.
Ā
And, go figure, Iām awake at 5:20 a.m. on a Saturday when I have nowhere that I need to be and nothing to be doing. āCept being comatose. Too early to go swimming. Billy not here (6th day . . . sigh). LMB got up when I did but heās gone back to sleep in my lap. Oh, and then thereās the charley horse from heck that got me out of bed in the first place. Common with MD/CMT patients and my muscle relaxer let me down yet again.

Wow I commented on a lot of my 23 comics this morning. Unusual. Too much time on my hands.
Ā
Morning Susan I forget if you arrive on Saturdays. More likely afternoon for lightenup on a weekend day. Hello and welcome BronzePony. Nice to see our family growing. :-)

Some days are just like that, donāt even get out of PJās and leave the blinds closed so neighbors canāt tell if you are home or notā¦.catch up on DVR recordingsā¦..AHHHH

Iām always a blob, but in front of a laptop, not a TV. Never watch that particular box, not for three years now.The company behind my monitor is much more interesting!

Before I forget and get busy the rest of the day:
hi mom! We were without the Internet last night when Billy commented. Looks like Verizon was just testing our line. An updated email from them says theyāre sending us a new router to handle the new speed increase. Looks like no interruption is forthcoming, but one never knows.Bronzepony over 12 years ago
ThatĀ“s what I have in mind for tonight! Having two small kids my husband totally agrees. CathyĀ“s home in panel 4 looks as if she had kids tooā¦
Thanks Aaron for the welcome and I hope you get better. Have a good day everyone!

Me too! Sounds like a great night inā¦ Iām such a homebody most of the timeā¦ :-)Iām running really late today, so a quick hello to ALL the Cathy nuts! Aaron, I hope your cramp is better by now. Iām also done with the Mr. Potato Head eyes, so you can have them too. Iām not sure you need them with your bionic eye, but okayā¦ I could use them back when the kids misbehave though. ;-)Iām off to relax for a whileā¦ Have a great night everyone!

Irving really MUST be in love if he still wanted to come over and see Cathy after that really DELIGHTFUL picture she painted of herself!!!!! Yikes!!! and AACK!!!!!
Ā
HI AARON & DR. BILLY!!!!!Aaron: Are you feeling better now? I know what you mean regarding todayās early wake-up call as my husband and I had one ourselves at 3:16 a.m. this morning when our dog had a seizure. Sheās doing fine. She has one about once a week (although she occasionally has one every 2 ā or maybe even 3 (if weāre lucky) ā weeks) and theyāre normally about 6 minutes long from start to finish. Sheās 10 now and weāve been doing this since she was approximately 15 months old. Itās hell but we deal and then we move on. But despite that, sheās pure sunshine and we wouldnāt trade her for all the money in Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gatesā bank accounts!
Ā
;-)
Ā
K.F.G.: Have fun in Chile! How long will you be gone? Donāt have so much fun that you forget all about us . . . you hear?!?!? Weāll miss you!!!!! ;-)

The cramp stuff is short-term. I try to eat a banana a day and drink more water, but water is just . . . boring. However, juice is sugary and soda is worse, so staying properly hydrated is the bane of a person with MD/CMT. Leg cramps are common and a small dose of Zanaflex usually keeps them at bay. But not always. Dreaming about hiking and then feeling the cramp in my dream, then waking up to it in reality is the pits because itās always in the wee hours.
Ā
Poor LMB thinks the devil himself is in the house. Friend Billy will just deeply massage the muscle to straighten it back out. The Snopes article mentioned flexing before bedtime so Iāll give that a try too. Iām toast, so nite nite.

Hi Molly, actually CMT is more accurate but only those with CMT know what that means so I say MD. Genetically different, though still an amazing amount of struggling in any given day. Iām quite mobile, walk about a mile a day, though not at any land speed record, and, as youād guess, am really really active on the job.
Ā
Sadly a losing battle which will come to a peak (or a major depression) one day. Not soon, but not later either. Canāt ride a bike very much because exercise, strangely enough, speeds the progression of CMT. I ignore that thought when I play sports because Iām not one to sit on my duff and wait. Also, the old adage of āwhere thereās a will, thereās a wayā is words to live by. Not necessarily brave, but, there you go. :-)

Such a glamorous couple-to-be, arenāt they?
I think my brain hurt tonight when my eyes hit it in the classic eye-roll.
But, on second thought, Iād say Cathyās (and irvingās) opinion reflects that of many peopleās in society.

Hi other Cathyites!! As for Cathy ā itās fine to veg out, but I try to at least take a shower first. The last panel is rather unsavory.
