Like most of the kids, her favorite part was driving the go-karts. And I was thrilled to see that she was a careful driver (hopefully a sign for when she really drives). She was also happy to have me there, which I love, and we all had a great time! :-)

By the way Aaron – please never call a woman in Germany nutty until her English is good enough to read Cathy!

Some words just don’t translate very precisely, do they? I can remember a forum I once visited where the British members found their casual language was censored out by the Mods, even though the Americans used words that, in Britain, would raise many a blush to a maidenly cheek!

Looks aren’t everything, of course. However, I will admit that when I found a current picture on Facebook of the cute boy from college who broke my heart, I said, “EEeeeww,” and it felt good. Afternoon, Cathy clan!

It does feel good to find out an ex is no longer cute. I dated a very handsome man whose mission was to isolate me from family and friends and hit me when I didn’t listen. A not so handsome, loving and caring man is much better than that.

Aaron, I think you must be a “chocoholic” like me! A man of taste, I say — and thanks for the muffin! As for Cathy, some days you don’t need enemies because of the way friends behave. This, it seems, is one of Cathy’s days!

I was once walking along the street with my daughter, almost grown by then, when we passed a man who had been the first Big Love of my life. I gave him a smile and then confided his significance to my daughter.

My daughter’s jaw dropped. “What?” she gasped. “You mean THAT could have been my father?”

Lusty women. Geez. I’m glad I’m more than a pretty face.

There’s one really great thing about virtual cupcakes. In our house, they become real. And yummmmmy

Friend Aaron, so far this week, has played hockey, played basketball, and tonight, played soccer. He thinks he’s sorta kinda maybe ready to go back to work tomorrow. LMB however is worn out from all that exercise. He says he misses his hidey holes at my folks house. Definitely a country vs city pup.

Good evening fellow Cathy nuts. Nice cupcake Aaron, I could use one of those today, still hiding out with bruises and swelling from the dentist. Gosh I’m glad none of my exes could see me today!! I think Cathy should go to the wedding just so she can obsess over what to wear for a week!!

I guess I’ll keep things simple tonight, with the ever-classic eye-roll.

Not as extreme as usual, but still.
