I try to find a lonely cart in the lot and take it back to the store. If I don’t buy a lot, I just carry it back to the car.

Usually, there is at least one in the handicap area.

I work a semi-retirement gig at a wine store. Grocery carts are a daily commentary on just how big of jerks Americans tend to be. I have watched a Viet Nam era veteran struggle to walk a cart to the cart area, he refused my assistant, while the titan of industry, law, or trust fund (can’t quite tell by appearance) pushes his cart into the handicapped parking space, gets in his Range Rover and drives off.

And there are plenty of “shopping cart” jerks at Walmart.

Oh… Mr. Jerk isn’t working hard enough!

Yesterday I went to the store. I ride the bus and use a walker. Because I know better… I checked the handicap area for electric carts. None. Went to the area that powers up the carts… a couple of broken. As I was wondering what to do next… a person drove a cart out the door. Somewhat followed. She ended up parking it in the fire truck zone – blocking emergency vehicle access. No where near to noticeable to anyone looking for a cart. Then she walked (perfectly fine) down the row to half way (about 10 cars in) to her vehicle.

Mr. Jerk needs to take lessons from this lady!

A real jerk makes a personal remark rather than answer questions.

People who leave shopping carts anywhere and everywhere in the parking lot really tick me off. I’m handicapped and I will return my cart even when I can’t park in a HC spot. We get wind here that will blow unsecured carts into parked cars,

You’re not a jerk! If you start bringing back your carts, you take jobs away from exceptional, needy youngsters, and some olders too…
