goal achieved, in the negative.

He read it? Completely? Or just the first sentence?

Well the last thing that was complimentary to Andy was probablyhis mother!

Andy doesn’t need any motivation to go to the pub.

That’s one way to get him off the sofa.

Never knew that worthless bum even knew HOW to read!!

Didn’t take much motivation, Andy.

The self-help book motivated Andy to help himself to some cadged ale.

I’ve had books like that. I got rid of them.

Now if it was a guide to pubs, or a brewer’s manual . . .

He read the title and felt faint. Needed a pick me up. Pub.

how do I get out of random?

The last book Andy received was entitled “How To Stop Procrastinating”. He’s spent years putting off reading it!

Helped our hero level out that table.

Self help my eye, Chalkie bought him the beer.

“Self-Help for Slackers … the perfect guide for shirking, dodging, and evading work and responsibility.”

Andy just can’t help himself!

The only thing that motivates Andy is opening time.

Free books, anytime. At one time the VA Sepulveda CA had a “library” where we veterans could get some pretty good titles, and I am a voracious reader, but with the covid they closed and no more so far, too bad and so sad…

Looks like Andy’s rubbed off on Flo. Her preference now is free.

Well, it did get him off the couch.
