Remember: Put on your own mask first before helping your duck. The bear can fend for himself.

(No, that isn’t @Gent, who seldom goes nekkid on his rare forays into comics and always keeps an emergency oxygen supply under his hat. I suspect that this is his louche cousin Joe Bob.)

But can this cartoon be used as a floatation device in the event of a water landing?

Put on your own oxygen mask first. Before you help your emotional support duck with theirs. Breath normally as you calmly watch the woman try to find a play to put down the coffee and book so she can put on hers. Wait, the book mark slipped out!

Been more appropriate with a cartoonist attempting another castaway on a tiny island or Sisyphus cartoon.

Place the mask over your own face, before assisting children and ducks.

Be sure to put your own mask on first before putting on the duck’s mask. I took high-altitude training in the Air Force, which includes passing out from hypoxia as part of the program. It happens FAST!

I would describe this as one of those “I don’t have an idea for today’s cartoon, so I’ll do a cartoon built around the idea of not having an idea . . . which means I actually do have an idea” situations.
