Caution: Detour ahead! Every year we took our 3 kids to the lake to watch the fireworks. Every year the traffic getting away from the lake was terrible. My little angles would be in the back seat and try to rock the car as hard as they could, all leaning and hopping in unison. My job was to get near or next to another car with kids to, A. see if my kids could get another car to do it too. B. Get the kids in the other car in trouble. LOL . One year we got next to a church van, the 15 passenger kind. We thought those kids were going to flip that van over! Happy Independence Day to all Americans and Americans at heart.
Enjoy the celebration of the 4th of July. Food, fun and fireworks are most definitely part of the celebration. However, loud noises CAN be actually harmful to those with super sensitive hearing. Keep Kewpie inside though along with all pets for loud noises, explosions can frighten them. However, I don’t think you will need sunglasses……
Professional level fireworks are best handled by professionals in a place safe from fires. In the largest city near me, they do them on a barge in a good-sized river. Very safe. I have seen them, and they are impressive. I don’t need the same thing in my backyard.

The tide is turning. I’m beginning to think that there are more people that don’t like fireworks than do. At least in residential neighborhoods.

Dogs, Cats, horses, cows, other animals, veterans, and refugees/immigrants from the east, are all afraid of the sounds fire works make.
Animals, for the loudness is just scary, the brightness is confusing.
For refugees/immigrants they sounds can trigger PTSD, if they lived in areas where bomb/missiles went off often.
On this July 4th… consider just sparklers, or quiet fire works. I know, everyone will laugh at this.

I live in a 55+ community and the highlight of the day is the golf cart parade.

If the community you reside in has deer, you should use more fireworks. That way you get more bang for your buck.
