And you don’t even have to win tournaments. Just show up and play and still make 20 grand a week. Get sponsors and tv ads and make couple million a year right there. Life of Riley. Retire at 45. Call yourself “The Born Winner”
He has proper motivation anyway. I can see it now, he’ll have a string of Putt Putt places all along the east coast. The Fender Bender, The Slip and Fall and the Dark Alley Hold up.
For the kind of money they make he can learn to like it. Way better than selling tea cozies, which I doubt was or is Brutus’s passion. If you are destined for a life of unhappy work, at least make money at it!
Only elite players make good money, and you can’t be an elite player without passion for the game (not to mention TALENT), something the kid clearly lacks.
Can be. However, the bigger question is,"Are you potentially a good enough golfer for that money and are willing to do all the work necessary to get that way?….
One of many professional sports that you get paid for losing. You can come in dead laast and get paid in golf. Of course, in all pro sports you get your money when or lose. I would even start back to watch pro games if they changed the rules to: “Only the winning team gets paid”. Now that would be a game. I would even watch that. Otherwise, I still don’t watch or support anything where the overpaid prim a donas play a kid’s game for millions.
“Start as a caddy, then work youself up to caddy shak boss, then the money’s good in golf or get to be the best caddy ever and caddy for one of the top golfers, then the money is really good and you get to travel all over!” Advises Brutus…(who knew, he knew?)

Maybe Wilbur should start by dong caddying. He can find out what to do and not do, get in some good walking and get paid for it.

I’m sensing failure in his logic… eh, hard lessons to learn I guess. Just don’t smack the ball so hard you’ll knock down airplanes.

Golf a 4 letter word ( if it goes right it is a slice, if it goes left it is a hook, if it goes straight it is a miracle PTL)

Before you start building that trophy room, you should find out if you can play.
