Couldn’t you just take Nancy’s word for it? I’m sure life would be so much easier for you.

The number of assignments Nancy has handed in is a real number.

Not much to anybody’s surprise. Nancy has been trying to pass out of her math class for the past 80 years!

I’m split on this. On the one hand, Nancy’s efforts are quite pathetic with that track record. On the other hand, math? No thanks.

And I guess on the foot, what has Fritzi been doing this whole time? And did the teacher not bother reaching out to her before Nancy reached 41 missing worksheets?

Finally, the most important question: will anyone call me out for the mistake I just made?

NANCY: 3 out of 45? See, that’s like 1 out of 5! LOL

NANCY: It’s OJ’s fault! She doesn’t put numbers on the whiteboard anymore! :)

Nancy’s been in school since the 1950s. One more year won’t hurt

The difference between Bushmiller’s and Jaimes’ treatments of the character is that Bushmiller’s Nancy was simply being a kid, letting her mind wander. Jaimes’ Nancy appears self-absorbed and, at times, calculating.

Wait, dropping her down a level isn’t right. She should just have to retake this level. She apparently already passed the previous level to get where she is now.

If you’re smart Nancy, you’ll rephrase what you said in Panel 3…!
