They are hoping Larry will find out the definition of ennui first hand.

One of the most important words in an urban sophisticate’s vocabulary.

I haven’t heard about Wordle since the Times bought it.

Ennui was the Wordle answer on June 5th this year.

Larry’s last words…

I sometimes get the Jewdle by guessing enough letters to have them all and then arranging them into words that sound Yiddish/Hebrew/Jew-ish.

Where’s the dog? This guy needs to be ennui’d on.

My question is why haven’t these people already done today’s puzzle? Why so late to do it?

Ho-hum.

Ennui describes my feelings towards Wordle.

Wasn’t Wordle a fad a couple of years ago?

I enjoy wordle. Sometimes I get it in 2 tries. Always surprised when I do but then the game is over. More fun when it takes longer.

It seems Mr Bliss has been hang out with Mr Martin for a bit too long. This seems to be his level of humour.

larry’s the equivalent of folks here who rush to explain the comic strip…

Do they despise him because he solved it in only two guesses, or because none of them played it yet today and he’s given away the answer, or because he’s a jerk who brags about his success at it?

Full disclosure: I play Wordle every day on the NYT page. It’s mostly luck and a small amount of analytical thinking, and it’s a few minutes of entertainment in the course of my day. Fuller disclosure: I don’t really care how many guesses it take me to figure out the answer, and I never waste my time or anyone else’s by bragging about it, whether in person or on social media.
