The hearing aid people get their mailing lists from the Social Security office. I get one or two ads a week (seems like). If and when I actually need one, it won’t be from the firms that wasted my time opening envelopes.
I remember back in the day they were warning us that talking on cell phones was going to give us brain cancer because of all the electronic transmissions so close to our brains. How the heck did bluetooth get through all that?
My wife crochets. She often leaves her phone on a table or sofa and then puts her crochet project on top of it when she gets up. We hear this mysterious buzzing that’s barely audible sometimes. It takes forever to find it.
As part of his research for his Doctoral Dissertation, my dad became certified to sell hearing aids. His research was about how hearing loss affects musicians. This was about 1970, so the technology was just a little bit different.

I can’t stand having things poking in my ear, I always use over the ear headphones (and I don’t use or want anything walking around)
